Who can enter

San Ponziano Architects, principals/property owners, project developers and building-engineers may participate in the 2009 European Aluminium in Renovation Award.

The 2009 European Aluminium in Renovation Award shall be awarded to renovation projects/buildings which have been completed after 1 January 2006, meeting the regulations. Projects/buildings must be located in Europe. Location of the project determines the national competition for entry.

The following criteria shall be taken into account in the assessment of the entries:

Significant use of aluminium
Energy efficiency
Life cycle thinking
Contemporary design
Socio-economic impact
Added value to the original building

At least one complete phase of a project/building must have been completed.
