The three unit building of high quality – one administrative and 2 storage units - from mid 1930’ties has been renovated and upgraded into a modern administrative building of 21.000 M2housing the Technical and environmental department of the Municipality of Copenhagen.
Bronze anodized aluminium panel sections matching the shade of the original buildings adds a unique visual apperance to a new glas/alufacade in the former court yard and to a new additional entrance of the building.
Energy design using eg. an oversized aluminium skylight to light up around the reception area is meeting the priorities of the building owner. The skylight forms a sculpture in the open spaceon the roof used for recreational activity and in coming phases of the building renovation a solar panel system will be integrated and screen off the ventilation towers.
